Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple

It's a bit of a mouthful to say, and generally I refer to it as "Sri Siva", or even just "the Hindu temple." People always know which temple I'm talking about.

if you are heading from Nadi to the Coral Coast or Suva, then you will drive go past this. There are plenty of tours available to visit the temple, or you can just visit yourself for the cost of the fj$5pp entry fee.

You can see the Sri Siva temple from the 3rd floor balcony of the Nadi Downtown Hotel.

First impressions of the temple are usually "wow, what an explosion of color!" Blues predominate, but there are all the colors of the rainbow, and then some.

When To Visit?

I have visited the template many times, but my all time favorite time is during Diwali. As for time fo day, early seems to be good because the concrete has not yet heated up to burning temperatures. As you can't wear shoes inside the temple grounds, this is definitely something to consider.

A New Vegetarian Restaurant At The Temple

This is built not so long ago, and they serve really nice (and very cheap) vegetarian Indian food. Pretty much everything is less than fj$10. I forgot to get a picture of the menu when I was there but it was what you would expect. Roti, Dahl soup, rice, vegetable curries etc. For those of us that don't like hot and spicey, then you can grab a grilled cheese sandwich for a couple of $$.

Getting There, Hours, Entry

As this is very close to the Sabeto Hot Mud Pools, why not combine a visit to them both? We can organise a very competitivly priced 1/2 day tour for you.
