Sun Coast Accommodation, Including Nananu-i-Ra Island
There are a number of choices when it comes to staying on the Sun Coast, and we will look at some of the ones we know and love, on this page. There may well be others that are even better that we haven't discovered yet. But rest assured: if they exist, we will find them sooner or later, and write about them.
Which Place To Choose, And Why?
We all have different requirements, and different budgets. What will suit one person may not be suitable for another. Here's a quick overview of the five different choices.
- Golden Point: Plenty of choices for accommodation, from budget to expensive. Easy access by boat to good fishing and dolphin watching in the myriad of channels in the surrounding reefs.
- Volivoli Resort: The most expensive in this list, and probably specializes in catering to divers. If that is your thing, and you can afford it, come here.
- Wananavu Resort: Very nice beachside resort, but without the price tag of Volivoli.
- Macdonalds Cottages (Nananu-i-Ra Island): Cheap but very pleasant beachside cottages. Good home-cooked food at a reasonable price (or you can self-cater), with quiet relaxation being the main drawcard.
- Safari Lodge (Nananu-i-Ra Island): This is the place to come if you want water sports like S.U.P, sail or kite boarding. They run complete training packages for beginners.
