COVID-19 In Fiji: Current Situation

This page will be updated as new information comes to hand.

If you have plans to visit, then cancel them. The first case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in Lautoka (a local resident recently returned from overseas) and that area is in lockdown... nobody in, nobody out.

2nd case confirmed in Lautoka Fiji, 21st March

If you are currently on holiday in Fiji, it would be prudent to contact your airline (if you can reach them!) to see if it's possible to get an earlier flight home. Some people have reported that it was easier to go to Nadi airport and try to arrange an early flight from there.

Fiji Airways will be suspending international flights after Sunday 22nd March, until the end of May (that date might be extended). Read More.

Air New Zealand has scaled back flights between Auckland and Nadi until the end of June. Read their travel and flight advisory.
